Well Yesterday some members of my family and I went on an impromptu motorcycle ride. Impromptu meaning only planned a week in advance or else a lot more people would have been there. We had 6 bikes, 8 people. Three Harley's, my Buell, and two Honda's. It was a very nice day for a ride. Sunny all day, mid 60's probably. Not too hot or too cold. This was the longest ride and probably farthest ride I've done in one day. I was worried about my knee hurting too much. It was fine until the last hour. I did about drop my bike at the gas station though. I'm not sure what I was thinking. I stepped off the bike and my knee buckled a little. That caused my hand to move the throttle a bit and rev the engine. I let go of the clutch and didn't have it in neutral. OF course the bike jumped forward and put the kickstand up. It basically fell on me. I caught it and put it back up. Nothing injured on me or the bike, except my pride.
We met in Fowlerville and rode north in a big loop and stopped in Williamston for lunch. Then went south. Our navigator was doing great before lunch but after got us lost...maybe it was the few whiskey and cokes.

All total I think i put on 175 miles on to my bike. When i decided to leave the pack I still had an hour drive home on the highway. Longer if I went back roads. I just wanted to get home though, my butt hurt and I must hang on too tight since my hands hurt too. A very fun time. Too bad winter is coming.
