I hate environmentalists

So I started posting over at www.hugg.com. A neat Digg like site for environmental stuff. Well I've come to realize that many environmentalists are complete freaks and conspiracy nut jobs. No wonder why environmentalists are thought of in a bad light. Well generally speaking. Take this post on Hugg... http://www.hugg.com/story/Chemtrails-Climate-Control-Conspiracy/ WTF? contrails are now chemtrails? I suppose that is somewhat right. It does have some CO2 and NOx in it plus particulates. But I don't think that's what they mean. I think they are saying someone is dropping something from high altitudes down on us. Which to me doesn't make much sense. But I'm no atmospheric scientist. Seems like that would stay airborne and thinned out before it reached the ground, if ever. There are plenty of posts over there too that mention other conspiracy theories. Anything from the oil companies to the auto companies. And the government always seems to be in the middle. So I guess I hate crazy conspiracy theory environmentalists. That fits my hate for any extremism I suppose.

I also started posting at some Christian forum run by young people. It's about equally frustrating. Especially when trying to debate. I'll admit I don't debate well, but I at least have something to back up my opinion or will go find it. Not so here. It's a far cry from the Ars forums. Actually makes me miss that a bit.

I think it is mostly this guy that gets me. Look at his website. http://scalarparty.livejournal.com/ How can you take that seriously? You can't even read it. And if you read any of his comments towards me on Hugg you'll see a real troll. He does has some interesting things to say, but it is really hard to get to. Ah well. Hugg is a cool site. They just need to fix the buggs and add some features.

Apparently there is a bad word filter and a bug in it. If you actually wrote a calm post it would allow it. But you can't, get back on your pills.

and your accusations that i am a troll, just like stealing my material and making it look like its your own fresh insult, the troll came from people actually sending you a link about trolls, not me, i just know about it.....

so then you call me a troll based on my retorts to your flambaiting?? chief, check your head, there were more proitive comments made to the actual positive things you added to the debate, but of course you ignore those.. like when talking about invitro meat or clean green nuclear... but of course the uglier you get the harsher my replies are, all that being said if you look at what a troll does it's not my actions, even if you claim that.... it is what you have been doing and how you behave.

but now switch the topic and insult my spelling or grammar cause that makes you big doesnt it? btw you never answered my question of what it is exactly that you do that is so great for the planet and what hard work you are putting in for our bettrement? my guess is nothing aside from being an armchair skeptic... go ahead, prove me wrong

Um the part about people posting conspiracy theories is NOT about you. Many there do it. I'd just call you out if I wanted to. And if Senator Bill Richardson can stomach that flashing background, all the more power to him. It just makes you look unprofessional.

What material did I steal? The pill thing? LOL Oh my you are a nut. Yes you are a troll. Look at your responses to me. Tell me that's not trolling. I've not flambaited anyone. I stated my opinion on the conspiracy theories and you blew up and started calling me names. It is your actions or if you like you are feeding the troll, you you want to call me one. listen chief you said you were going to ignore me and i have been doing my best to not gag with the crap that you put on hugg, staying away but you just get more and more negative and more and more how do you say-- ad himinem like in your treatment of me. seriously stay away please. I have made a greta effort to not comment on your posts and you could do the same. FFS adding slurs like "do you know anything about science" and other malicious comments does not make you look better. you can think the things i talk about are rediuculous, thast finebut just leave me the F alone if you want the same

I don't give a shit if you post in my posts. Do it. If you start spouting fringe, non backed things like free energy and plant sentience, expect to be called on them. I will make an attempt to be more tactful in shooting down your more ridiculous comments, but I won't stop. I'm not getting more negative, you are. I see how my comment on your sentient plants could be viewed as an attack. I seriously amused me. Why do you by into all that crap?

i dont buy intro all of the crap at all. even if i believe in a lot mpr of it than you do. My blog which you dont care for (the bg pics change regularly BTW) used to havethe tagline "I'm not a scientists, but i play on on TV" I obviously don't want to run for president or realclimate.com ot the Cch debates (though i know those people well, and they accept me for the flakey freak that i am-- knowing that (fairly regularly) i do bring up stuff to the table that is relevant and that may have been overk by mainstream.. see the debates "on wierdos and cranks" over at the Cch Debates..

and for the record it's you who has brought the last "free energy" machine to hugg. it's ok, i like magnet motors... but dood you gotta underdstand that there are areas that science does not yet explain or even fully comprehend right, it's an evolving thing, right? and just like string theries and multidimetionality... quamtum vacumes...that freaky stuff that Masaru Emoto shows.. there's a lot beyond a simplistic Newtonian grasp. And yet its a profession so full of hubris, where certitudes blind possibilities. And so a body of knowlege that tells me consciousness is in the brain, or that a 500 sqmi grid computer game will predict real-world climate outcomes, can not be the gospel. thats why I believe in *some* of these wacky theories

and what is worse? to believe that a new energy generator is possible? ...or to be fatalistic, cause what Cch is about to werak is beyond what has been saidpublicly. so u tell me---teary-eyed optimistic, with the hope that we do make it, or negative creep who KNOWS we're not making it? which is better? and yes u do get more flys w/honey than by coming off as an A'hole, i will, (and have been behaving myself).

Yes I did pick the worse example. People are not posting real news but janky conspiracy theories. That's what i was having issues with. I'm not attacking anyone, though your right I could have been more tactful. I will try, but I will also speak out on stupid commentary and stupid posts.

here's what i mean a) you used to go to treehugger and hugg and never post stories, just crap on people's ideas (sometimes rightly, often not). And what was wanted was not to shut you up or squash your opinion (as it is often valueable, just like me you're batting somewhere between .500-.650), but just have you be an active participant. and yall might have decided early on that i am the problem, no probs, your "venom" to quote some of the hugg architects was really chaffing... so now you can be a grumpy gus all you want! no probs, Y? Because YOU PARTICIPATE, and as an active participant, even your most shaply pointed vitriol is fine.. because you are part of the team, not some outsider .... so now people value what you say, because you show the fruits of your labour... and i am happy because there is less friction and you wont scare the kids away no more...

so that is why i dont care what you think of me at all, and why i am happy that no matter what that opinion is that you have toned down the hate on everyone else

beyond that, its is really cute when you post stories of stuff you refused to believe when i talked about them a months ago but now that you see it in some news paper or online, you post 'em.... seriously cute. Maybe some day you wonyt have to dismiss them just cause they come from me, but like i said in paragraph one, i could give a rats stinky behind about what you think of me. I just am happy that you are no longer the evil lurker trolll (paid or not)
